Prayer Requests

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16, 17

In just a few short days, we'll be gone to Africa! How are you feeling...excited, nervous, scared, expectant, unsure, overwhelmed, elated?

If you have a need that you really want someone to be praying for this week and while we are away, (We'll have a few people check this site for prayer requests, as they have committed to pray for us over the duration of our trip.), please share below.

  1. (Guess I'll go first! :) Pray as the Lord leads. My list is kind of long, but it helps to adjust my focus when I intentionally sit down and think through my stuff. I can send it all to Jesus and rest in His care.

    1) My family here at home--for fun, bonding, peace, the Lord's covering, and open, respectful, honest, clear communication among them

    2) For connectedness with the kids and all that we encounter, including the team

    3) For me to walk in wisdom, discernment, authenticity, and obedience--to know when to be quiet and listen...and when to speak

4)For a deep stirring in my heart and clarity in my cluttered mind and that, as a result, my faith in trust in God grows

    5) To be free to be..to love and hug and dance and sit and laugh and cry without any inhibition

    6) To just share life heart to heart with the kids and all around...and that hearts would be filled with hope in Christ Jesus

  3. pray that I would be emptied of myself...that I would have lots of fun, bonding time with Jerome, Wendy and our boys...pray that I would not put my mental 'Africa preperation to-do list' ahead of spending time with Him...pray that as a team we would love Him, each other and the kids deeply!

  4. This really is Karla...:)
    1. For pre trip peace. Pray the anxiety monster would stay at bay.
    2. That I would be a giving, easy to be around, selfless, loving team member and that we as a team would bond as a whole.
    3. To love the kids freely, just as I am. I want to be myself completely and love and experience them they way God wants me to.
    4. That I would let the little things go.
    5. That I would see Jesus in a way I have never seen Him or experienced Him before.
    6. That I would be fully 100% in Africa.(My mind can lag behind and I so don't want that!)
